Venture Fitness – Membership Terms & Conditions

1. About Us

These Terms & Conditions govern membership with Venture Fitness (“we”, “us”, “our”).
By purchasing a membership, you agree to be bound by these terms.

2. Membership Overview

We offer:

  • Monthly rolling memberships (Direct Debit)
  • Fixed-term memberships (where applicable)
  • Promotional offers and trials

Membership provides access to:

  • Venture Fitness facilities (Torquay & Newton Abbot)
  • Classes (where included)
  • Additional services as specified

Access rights may vary depending on your membership type.

3. Membership Fees & Payments

3.1 Payment Structure

  • Memberships are billed on a recurring basis (e.g. monthly)
  • Payments are collected via Direct Debit or approved payment methods

3.2 Pricing Transparency

  • All prices are displayed clearly at the point of purchase
  • By signing up, you agree to ongoing recurring payments until cancellation

3.3 Failed Payments

If payment fails:

  • Your membership may be suspended
  • We reserve the right to retry collection
  • Outstanding balances must be settled before access is restored

4. Auto-Renewal

All memberships automatically renew unless cancelled.

By signing up, you acknowledge that payments will continue until you cancel in accordance with these Terms.

5. Cancellation Policy (30-Day Notice Requirement)

IMPORTANT CONTRACT TERM

All memberships require a minimum of 30 days’ notice to cancel.

This means:

  • Cancellation does not take effect immediately
  • Your membership will remain active for 30 days from the date notice is received
  • All payments due within this period will still be collected

Example

  • Cancel on 10th → Membership ends on 9th of the following month
  • Any payment due within that period will still be charged

This applies to all memberships unless otherwise stated.

5.1 How to Cancel

You may cancel by:

  • Emailing: vfhubltd@gmail.com
  • Via your ClubRight member portal
  • In writing

We do not accept cancellations via:

  • Social media
  • Verbal requests alone

6. Cooling-Off Period (Legal Rights)

Under UK law, you have the right to cancel within:

  • 14 days of joining, or
  • 14 days of renewal (where applicable)

Refunds:

  • May be full or pro-rata depending on usage

7. Fixed-Term Memberships

Where a minimum term applies:

  • You agree to pay for the full term
  • Early cancellation may require:
    • Payment of remaining balance, or
    • An agreed termination fee

The 30-day notice period still applies at the end of the term.

8. Free Trials & Promotional Offers

  • Promotional offers must be used within stated timeframes
  • Trials may automatically convert into paid memberships

If not cancelled:

  • The membership continues
  • The 30-day notice rule applies from that point onward

9. Changes to Membership & Pricing

We reserve the right to:

  • Adjust pricing
  • Modify services
  • Update membership structures

Where changes are significant:

  • You will be notified
  • You may have the right to cancel without penalty

10. Member Responsibilities

By joining, you agree to:

  • Use facilities safely and responsibly
  • Follow all gym rules and staff instructions
  • Respect other members and staff

We reserve the right to:

  • Suspend or terminate memberships for misconduct
  • Refuse access where necessary

11. Health & Safety Declaration

By using our facilities, you confirm:

  • You are medically fit to exercise, or
  • You have sought appropriate medical advice

You agree to:

  • Train at your own risk
  • Inform staff of any relevant health conditions

12. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Venture Fitness is not liable for:
    • Injuries sustained during training
    • Loss or damage to personal belongings

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by negligence
  • Fraud or misrepresentation

13. Access & Facility Use

  • Membership grants access only during valid periods
  • Entry systems (fobs, apps, etc.) must not be shared
  • 24/7 access is subject to operational conditions

We reserve the right to:

  • Temporarily close areas for maintenance
  • Adjust class schedules

14. Data Protection

Your data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may use your data for:

  • Membership management
  • Communication
  • Service improvement

15. Termination by Venture Fitness

We may terminate your membership if:

  • You breach these terms
  • Payments are repeatedly missed
  • Behaviour is deemed inappropriate

No refund will be issued in cases of serious misconduct.

16. Refunds

Refunds are only issued:

  • Within legal cooling-off periods
  • Where required by law
  • Where services cannot be provided

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions periodically.

  • Updated versions will be published online
  • Continued use of membership constitutes acceptance
