1. Overview

These Cancellation Terms & Conditions apply to all memberships with Venture Fitness,

Including:
Monthly rolling memberships
Fixed-term memberships
Promotional offers, free trials, and discounted memberships

We are committed to ensuring all cancellation processes are clear, fair, and compliant with UK consumer law, including the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024.

2. Key Cancellation Rule

(30-Day Notice Requirement)

IMPORTANT: 30-Day Notice Policy

All Venture Fitness memberships are subject to the following:

A minimum of 30 days’ notice is required to cancel any membership.

This means:
Your cancellation request does not end your membership immediately.
Your membership will remain active for 30 days from the date of your next due payment.
Any payments due within this 30-day notice period will still be collected in full

Example:
If you submit cancellation on 1st May but you have a payment due on the 3rd of May
Your membership will end on 3rd of June.

This policy applies to all members unless explicitly stated otherwise in writing.

3. Cooling-Off Period (Your Legal Rights)

Under UK consumer law, you have the right to cancel within:


14 days of signing up, or
14 days from the start of a renewed contract period (where applicable)

If cancelled within this period:


You may receive a full refund, or
A pro-rata deduction may apply if facilities or services have been used

4. How to Cancel Your Membership

You may cancel your membership at any time by:

Requesting cancellation in writing

Important:

  • Cancellation must be submitted through an official channel
  • We do not accept cancellations via social media or verbal requests alone

We will:

  • Acknowledge your cancellation within 24–72 hours
  • Confirm your final membership end date

5. Monthly Rolling Memberships

For all monthly direct debit memberships:

  • You may cancel at any time
  • However, the 30-day notice period always applies
  • Your membership remains active during this time

There are no long-term contracts, but the notice period is a condition of membership.

6. Fixed-Term Memberships

If you are on a fixed-term agreement:

You are committed to the agreed minimum term

Cancellation before the end of the term may require:
Payment of remaining fees, or an agreed early termination fee

The 30-day notice period still applies at the end of the term unless otherwise specified.

7. Exceptional Circumstances (Early Cancellation Requests)

We may consider early cancellation (outside standard terms) in the following cases:

Medical Reasons

  • Serious illness or injury preventing use
  • Medical evidence required

Relocation

  • Moving outside a reasonable travel distance

Approval is at the discretion of Venture Fitness management.

8. Free Trials & Promotional Offers

Where applicable, You will be clearly informed of:

When your trial ends
When payments begin

To avoid charges:

  • You must cancel before the trial ends, or
  • Within the applicable cooling-off period

If not cancelled:

  • Your membership will automatically convert
  • The 30-day notice policy will apply from that point onward

9. Auto-Renewals & Payment Transparency

For all memberships:

  • Payments are collected on a recurring basis (e.g., monthly direct debit)

 

You will be informed of:
Payment dates
Renewal structure

Where required, we may send reminder communications regarding ongoing subscriptions.

10. Payments During Notice Period

All payments due within the 30-day notice period remain payable.

This includes:

  • Scheduled direct debits
  • Any outstanding balances

Failure to make payment may result in:

  • Suspension of membership
  • Referral to debt recovery procedures

11. Refund Policy

Refunds are only issued:

  • Within the legal cooling-off period
  • Where required by law
  • Where Venture Fitness is unable to deliver services

Refunds are:

  • Processed to the original payment method
  • Adjusted based on any usage of services

12. Fair Use & Transparency Commitment

In line with Competition and Markets Authority guidance, we ensure:

  • Clear pricing and no hidden fees
  • Transparent cancellation terms
